IECM 2008
25 - 26 November 2008
Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore
A combination of the slowdown in the global economies and high oil prices has created a string of adverse impacts in the Asian economies, where growth forecasts have been reduced and companies feeling the heat are embarking on cost cutting measures. These spell concern for businesses in the Asian Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, which are intricately linked with one another.
Beyond that, the Asian industry continues to be saddled with the issue of
manpower shortage, and companies now have the uphill task of tackling cost cutting yet still having to attract and retain talents. Companies must now relook at their marketing and compensation strategies and channel their resources more efficiently to continue achieving results.
In this global battle for survival, IECM 2008 will set the stage for all players to convene and discuss some of these issues as well as opportunities, and come away stronger and fitter amidst the challenging environment.
