The Meetings, Incentives and Conventions (MIC) industry have always been known to be a complex industry of interdependent organisation and functions. Many MIC companies recognise the need to create an ecosystem of suppliers and stakeholders to remain competitive!

 

Some 30+ people from the MIC industry gathered on 10th Sept 2009 at 3.30pm at an event, jointly organised by SACEOS and Inchone entitled "What keeps the MIC Industry Vibrant and Growing?" SACEOS's co-chairperson for MIC sub-committee Ms Janet Tan-Collis shared with the audience about how SACEOS can help Singapore companies form strategic alliances amongst themselves and/or with a third party to increase their business overseas through various marketing platforms. SACEOS is right now working on an overseas marketing initiative called SAP-MIC that can help the MIC industry generate more business in Singapore through overseas trade exhibition, trade missions and road shows.

With today's technology advancement, MIC companies are able to manage and execute their events more effectively through proven management systems. Our partner and sponsor INCHONE, an established leading ICT provider shared with us one of their successful system for the MICE industry called Delegations Management System (DMS). A user friendly and proven system, DMS allows delegates to manage and book their meetings online prior to their arrival at trade shows. This system was developed initially for the IMDEX show but has since been improved to serve other conferences and exhibitions and MIC activities in Singapore and the region.
